The story of Anderson Automotive starts with Jason Crist. Jason was working for a used car dealership housed in the building where Anderson Automotive is now and was given the opportunity to purchase the business when the dealership moved to another location. Jason opened the shop as Jason’s Auto Service, which was a great success. Jason built a rapport with his customers due to his easygoing nature and trustworthiness. Jason sadly passed away, and the family contacted Dan Anderson with an opportunity to purchase the business, and Anderson Automotive was born.
Dan discovered his love for working on vehicles and machines while he was in high school. He started by building bicycles and attempting to disassemble and reassemble his mother’s lawnmower. He even tried to attach a snow blower motor to a four-wheel downhill car! After a series of jobs, Dan found his way into the automotive industry, working for a small “mom-and-pop” auto repair shop. Dan worked his way up through his ASE Master Certification and found his way to a Subaru dealership, where he earned his Subaru Senior Master Certification and even the highest award that Subaru of America has for Subaru techs. After being given the prospect of purchasing Jason’s Auto Service, Dan has built Anderson Automotive into a true pillar of the community.
Dan and his son, Curtis, a United States Marine, currently staff Anderson Automotive. Curtis started with Dan back when he was at the Subaru dealership and followed him to this new venture.
Dan and his wife, Jenn, are avid motorcyclists. They’ve ridden all over the country, and Dan has even appeared on the cover of American Motorcyclist Magazine.
